Allison/Hagerty (Season 2, Episode 1)

PREMISE In the deep south of Mississippi, Lydia Allison is an etiquette teacher. She teaches etiquette to the little southern ladies by day and her family by night. Etiquette rules include not sitting with your legs open, swallowing your burp, buttering your bread the correct way and not being a goop. "Goops are children who don't want to mind their manners" says Lydia. She, super polite husband Tim and kids Drew (16), Anne Elizabeth (14), and Margaret (11) have formal dinners together every evening. Tim does not want to be known as the parent of juvenile delinquents. Though there’s no chance of Drew becoming a juvenile delinquent since his father locked the 2nd door to his bedroom that leads to the outside. The kids have to do chores and dress appropriately. PREMISE In fort Patrick in rural Kentucky, ex-senior air force airman Cheri runs her home to strict military standards. Husband Ryan was a sergeant in the US cavalry, serving in Bosnia. He now works at a local steel mill from 10:AM to 12:AM midnight, leaving little time for his family. Cheri's day starts at 6:AM when she wakes up for her morning march and she keeps a strict military routine of cleaning and chores. Their kids Tyler Carr (8) from a previous marriage, Brennan (5) and Hailey (2), are expected to address adults as ma'am or sir, and have to clean and do chores. The kids toys primarily consist of toy guns and bombs. Cheri is a devoted bible reading Christian. Cheri and Ryan believe the military teaches you respect and discipline. In Minnesota, part time art teacher Mina Leierwood and her husband Greg are liberal anti-war activists who often attend peace vigils. Mina's family protested war all their lives.
